    big l (r.i.p.)

one of the most talented and unheard of rappers to ever live. he released only one album when he was alive but is responsible for bringing up not only cam’ron but jay-z as well. he is considered one of the smartest lyricists and a revolutionary for gangster rap music. he was killed in 1999 by a childhood friend, 2 days before he was set to sign to jay-z’s new label, roc-a-fella. he left behind a whole lot of unreleased songs, all including some of the most clever rhymes ever to hit the rap game. while most (or all) of his songs have violent undertones, it’s important to listen to the way he uses words and strings them together. i myself am a huge fan of rap and just recently was introduced to the world of big l and was unaware a human being could even speak as perfectly as L.
